Our custom built "DJ room"

Our custom built "DJ room" is situated inside the rock-box office and is ideal for making a demo tape or demo CD or just having a practice session. We offer you excellent facilities, a helping hand if you need it, demo / CD copying and demonstrations of you are still not sure.

Our equipment
We provide all the equipment you need including Technics SL1210 turntables and / or Pro CD players and a Pioneer 300 mixer. The room has been built around a studio design with well placed monitors and turntables at a nice height (no more back ache). Once you are happy with the set up we will close the door and leave you to do your own thing, no more interruptions from mum just as you were in the middle of your best mix!

If you have never used a pair of technics and you think a mixer is something in the kitchen..... Don't worry, our friendly staff will be happy to explain everything and get you up and running.

Extra facilities
If you want to cheat a bit with your mixing, on request we can provide a BPM counter at no extra cost. If you want your MC to be on your tape, no problem...we can provide a professional microphone at no extra cost.

What can you do?
Our DJ room is suitable for making jingles, voice overs, radio demos, etc. We can provide a spirit mixer and a reverb unit call for details.
We can provide "one on one" mixing tuition with our in-house teacher - call for prices.
The room cost's £8 per hour to hire. Sessions paid by credit card be subject to a £1 surcharge.

Copies
You can either bring your own blank tape or purchase one from us. We charge £1 for blank CD's, you are best buying them from us as not all blank CDs are compatible with our CD writer. We can make additional copies of your mix at £2.00 per CD
When using the DJ room we only allow you to bring 2 friends along due to space restrictions.
